POSTPONED Cape Surville Lookout

POSTPONED. Peter and I will investigate the roads this weekend and advise the situation for another time. This walk is the Cape Surville Track out and back starting somewhere along Richardsons Road. This is vague because if you are lucky, you can drive the full length of that 4WD track in a normal car, but rain and track degradation means that we don't know how far we can get. There is some discrepancy in the blogs and posts about how long the hike is, and I suspect this is because of all the different starting points along the track. See the posts below from All Trails that range from 4.3 for just the Cape or 24.3 if you walk the entire length of Richardsons Road each way. We will probably cover up to 10-15km and it could take 4-5 hours if we take it easy. But if Richardsons Road is in bad condition we may have to park earlier. **Meeting Time:** 9:45am - be early so that we know exactly who is coming. you may not have phone reception and will not be able to call. **Meeting Place:** We will meet at the end of Hylands Road, and then together venture as far along Richardsons Road as we can. We will walk to the end of Richardson Road, cross Chasm Creek and start the track. **Getting There**. It takes about 1h 20min to drive to the start so you will need to leave town early to arrive in time. "Head towards Murdunna on the Forestier Peninsula, just south of Dunalley. John Forrest NP - Swan View tunnel to JF Tavern and back (7.5km)

**Please park and meet in the large lower (southern) carpark.** We start at the historic Swan View Railway Heritage Trail Hub. A short walk and we go through the old Swan View railway tunnel (340m long, take your **torches**), pass the National Park Falls and keeping along the picturesque north bank of Jane Brook in the eucalyptus forest we make our way to the John Forrest Tavern Unfortunately dogs are not permitted in the park. There are no National Park fees for this hike. **Plenty of parking near the pin drop.** **Distance** 7.5 km 150 m Elevation Gain, about 1.5hrs walking Pace approx 5.5 to 6km/h. Crafers to Mt Lofty - Relaxed Sunday Hike with a bit of Adventure

Crafers to Mt Lofty Summit and return 10 km of easy/moderate terrain. After coffee we will walk to Mt Lofty Summit enjoying the view and take our time. Bring your packed lunch for having at the summit. Tired of coding alone? Come join us at the Brisbane Coder Club (in a cafe). This is a great chance to work on projects, discuss technology and learn about other's projects. We will write code, drink coffee/tea and have lunch. You will need your laptop, or you will be bored. The meetings are designed for the business professional who wants to focus on developing their professional communication skills. We commence 7am sharp and finish by 8:10 am. You are free to join your fellow members for coffee and networking before heading off to work!!

Wednesday 11am (new time) C C at the Yacht Club

We meet every Wednesday at the Yacht Club to meet new folk and the regulars to have natter over a coffee or tea or lemonade or water. Our aim is to create friendships. Most of us are in our 50's 60's and 70's among us are singles and couples. If you are a new comer please make yourself known to me (Mac) so that I can introduce you to the other Chatters. We will organise other events as we go. Everyone is encouraged to mingle Event fee $1

Toastmasters is a nonprofit education organisation that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. Here at our club, GC Hub Toastmasters, we’re a handful of entrepreneurs who come together and support each other to reach our communication, leadership and speaking goals.
