Yin is a slow, soothing, and meditative style of yoga that targets the deep connective tissues, bones, joints, fascia, and ligaments in the body. It also focuses on stretching and stimulating different acupressure points from Traditional Chinese Medicine. In Yin Yoga, we hold mostly passive poses for about two to five minutes to work into our connective tissues. The more we work our fascial system and deep tissues, the less dense and tight our bodies become as we age. Movement and stretching hydrate fascia and literally help slow the aging process. https://asmy.org.au/west-end/yoga-classes/yoga-class-descriptions/

This interactive session equips you with practical tools to enhance Emotional Intelligence (EI), manage cognitive biases and make better decisions by mastering System 1 (emotional reactivity) and System 2 (logical analysis) thinking where EI serves as the vital bridge between the two. By attending this session you will unlock: * Improved decision making: Reduce the "hidden tax" of cognitive shortcuts. Know when to trust our 'gut feelings' and when to switch to rational thought. * Greater performance under pressure: Learn to recognise triggers and pivot from reactive impulses to deliberate, strategic choices when the stakes are high. * Better collaboration: When you regulate your own System 1 responses, psychological safety flourishes, which leads to better collaboration. * Increased resilience: Build a team that doesn’t just survive volatility but thrives in it. ***Facilitators*** ***[Caidryn Roder](https://www.linkedin.com/in/caidyrn/):*** *Co-founded ProSocia and has over 20 years of experience helping people and organisations thrive. **Urban Climb Blackburn** Never climbed before? No worries at all! You're very welcome here! Just complete a quick safety induction when you arrive and the staff will walk you through everything you need to know to climb safely indoors. It's easy, friendly, and won't take long. The venue has plenty to enjoy, including a bouldering cave, speed wall, sauna facilities, and sparkling water to keep you going. This group is primarily focused on rope climbing, top roping and lead climbing, but if you'd prefer to stick to bouldering while you find your feet, that's absolutely fine too! Many of our members have their lead pass and gear, but there's no pressure at all. **Finding us:** If you arrive on time, look for us gathered around the couches in the bouldering area. We're a friendly bunch, so just come and say hi! Running a little late? No stress, just let the staff up the front know you're with the Climb Meetup group and they'll make an announcement. Someone will come and find you and introduce you around. A few of our regulars also wear a black shirt with the old logo, so keep an eye out for those. **A note on numbers:** The meetup runs every Monday and many regular members come along independently without RSVPing through the group, so the crowd is often bigger than it looks on the attendee list! If you're ever unsure whether people will be there or worried it might be a tiny group, feel free to drop the organisers a message beforehand and we'll put your mind at ease. **Fees:** Entry is paid directly to Urban Climb. You can find current pricing at [urbanclimb.com.au/pricing](https://urbanclimb.com.au/pricing/). If you hold a climbing membership elsewhere, it's worth checking your member benefits as you may be eligible for a discount. For venue info and the first-time waiver, visit [urbanclimb.com.au/locations/blackburn](https://urbanclimb.com.au/locations/blackburn/). **Stay connected:** We also have a facebook group [https://www.facebook.com/groups/663576119053808](https://www.facebook.com/groups/663576119053808) with a chat function; a great way to connect with members before or after a session!

**Release your body + Mind!** This class combines low impact dance moves with dynamic stretching to enhance your bodies flexibility and functional flexiblity movements to tone your muscles. This class is not yoga and it is not meant to substitute yoga. It is a fun way of introducing flexibility and mobility training into your routine because the stretching is mixed into the dance routines and continues throughout the class. Please do not worry about the RSVP numbers in the group as classes always run unless it is not listed on the calendar. Meet up is only one way I get the word around. Please bring your smile, energy, plenty of water, a towel and a jacket for after class. Please wear clothes you are comfortable moving in and going through range of motion from floor to yoga positions. Shoes are optional in this class and we encourage for balance to go barefeet or wear a Yoga Sock. Please bring a jacket or towel. Please BYO your own Yoga Mat - if you do not have one it's ok we have Blue Crash Mats you can use.

Don’t miss out on these free, casual meditation classes! The meditation classes cater for people of all experience levels and are run in a relaxed environment. No stretches or physical exercises are involved in learning this simple yet effective technique. **Effortless Meditation** The word ‘Sahaja’ can be translated as ‘Spontaneous’ or ‘Simple’, and is at the outset a hypothesis that meditation can come easily for those who are willing to practice regularly (even briefly each day). Sahaja Yoga defines meditation as ‘thoughtless awareness’, a state where you are completely conscious but at the same time completely without thought. In this state, we gain a unique perspective and insight into the beauty of our own innate nature. Physical and mental health benefits have also been attributed to regular meditation practice through comprehensive Australian research (Learn more in the book ‘silence your mind’ or at www.beyondthemind.com). Sahaja Yoga meditation was founded by HH Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi in 1970, and is based on kundalini awakening. Shri Mataji felt that meditation is an essential part of our spiritual growth. She felt that because meditation is so essential, a free and simple method to achieve it must be made available for everyone. Sahaja Yoga is now practiced in over 52 countries worldwide.

Why do we find it hard to make money, while others are flourishing and prospering? Is it just that some were born lucky? No. Do some people just have a natural talent? No. It comes down to the art of communication. One's ability to communicate will determine how successful one will be, not only in business, but life as a whole. We will be covering different avenues of communication, and what you can do to bring change to your life. ------- The talk will go for roughly 45 mins, give or take. We will then proceed to do a Personality Test which will really break down what areas in your life you are lacking in, and can then get the appropriate tools to assist you.
