Join us on the second Thursday of the month at City Library to celebrate a thriving zine culture in Newcastle through creativity and connection. Whether you are just starting out, a seasoned zine-maker, or just want to get creative and have some fun, the Zine Club welcomes all. Zine-making blends writing, art, collage and DIY publishing and offers a platform for a wide range of creative expression. Sessions are self-directed and peer-led with assistance from community-engagement artist Nina Katzmarski. The club will support The Zine Project, with part of the session dedicated to folding zines to distribute to Zine Street libraries in the local community. All supplies and materials provided by the library, however, BYO materials are welcomed. Ages: Open to ages 16 years and over Cost: Free Bookings essential If you have any access or inclusion needs, you will be able to advise us when booking.
