Northside Musicians Choir is teaming up with the most incredible Rowena Wise to bring you an incomparable experience at the Brunswick Ballroom. The Northside Musicians Choir, directed by Grace Robinson, is made up of 80 people from the local music and creative community — musicians, music lovers, artists, creatives, and people who can frikken sing. Together, they perform intricate five-part arrangements that move between pop, traditional folk, contemporary, and gospel, building something exciting, powerful, and deeply human. The evening will open with the choir's own set of focused repertoire, shaped in weekly rehearsals at APAX Warehouse in Preston — a space that has become home for this growing community. Then, Rowena Wise takes the stage, performing her incredible long-awaited new album solo, supported by the full force of the 80-piece choir, arranged by Grace Robinson. 500 Card Evening @ Story Bridge Hotel

We're a lively mixed social group that's been dealing in cards since 2012. You'll find us in the Chill Lounge of the Shelter Bar. We set up tables to start playing from 6:30 and play 30 min rounds rotating players among the tables till 9pm. We then regroup for the diehards to play till 10pm. Pub food and drinks are available for purchase throughout the evening. Our $5 fee covers the cost of meetup fees, cards and other consumables as well as funding the prizes for monthly tournament nights and regular members free drinks nights. Your first night is free. **PLEASE NOTE**: We welcome people who have played 500 before, even if it's been a while and you need a little refresher. We are not setup to teach you how to play 500 from scratch.

Come join the Casey Queer Collective for a social night and meet some local queers in the city of Casey and surrounds. This is a monthly event and held on the 4th Monday of every month. The vibe of this event is casual and low-pressure. It's a space to socialise, share food and make friends. 🎲 Each month we will have a new theme or activity. Welcome to Melbourne Volleyball Academy. 🤗 **[[WHAT]]** This session is specifically for games only (no training). There will be a cap of 18 players, allowing for 3 teams of 6. Games will be played to 15 points, with a cap at 18 points. These games are intended to be played at a high-intermediate(BB)/advanced(A) level. We will have plenty of skates and safety gear for you to try if you dont have your own. We are happy for complete BEGINNERS to come along, providing tips on skating, stopping and turning, this will get you out rolling and usually we can get you to this stage in one session. POR is a social group, not a skating school, we do not provide formal lesson, just skaters helping skaters. If you have your own helmet, please bring! We normally set up cones for slalom practice and skaters practice whatever they are keen to learn - normally lots of advice on offer too. This is a social event, so everyone welcome, we don’t leave this area, so no issues if you are not confident yet, we will be close by. We tend to get 200+ skaters most weeks, normally 5-10 new skaters too, so don’t be shy, come and join us. IMPORTANT - this is a casual social event and you participate at your own risk. In case you miss our June meetup, we're taking another swing at a more social meetup night, grabbing a drink with some fellow Ruby developers, we'll be joined by our friends from the Sydney Alt.Net user group who joined us last year for a similar thing and it was a hit!. FREE: Walk the Kangaroo Point - Green Bridges - City loop

Join us for a walk around the Kangaroo Point - Green Bridge loop. We'll meet outside Joey's Cafe. We walk across the top of the Kangaroo Point cliffs, along the Southbank waterfront, across the Neville Bonner Bridge through old city Botanical Gardens, about 5 city blocks, then back over the new Kangaroo Point Green Bridge, along Main Street to The Pineapple Hotel. The Walk is about 7kms and takes about 80 to 90 minutes. Meet at 5:55pm (or earlier) for 6:00pm Start. Walk at your own pace as we stop at a number of catch up points along the way so you won't get left behind. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome, but the dinner venue is not. Relax... Even if it your first time, we aim to make all feel welcome and it's a good idea to turn up a little early. Optionally... After the walk, we stop at the Pineapple Hotel for dinner and / or a drink, a great way to socialise in a group setting. The conversation is more dynamic in the group setting, so if your a bit shy you can enjoy being a listener, if there's a topic your passionate about, you can jump right in on it. Fancy Trivia @ Stones Corner Hotel

Hi Fancy people! We've got a really fun group regularly attending **trivia night** with an ongoing booking in the **Sports/TAB Bar** under **Fancy Peeps, Fancy Pants** and **Fancy Pizzas** \- located at tables 92\, 93 and 94 \(on the left as you face the bar\)\. We are Fancy winners too - winning a $1,100 jackpot 24/3 - and have won many Hotel Vouchers, placing First ($150), Second ($100) and Third ($75) a few times. If we win a Voucher, we happily share the winnings on pizzas/chippies. **If you are new or didn't attend the previous week** and wish to share the food please bring some cash with you to add to the total. I've opened it up to **18 people to fill three tables**. The trivia tables are in very high demand so **IF YOU RSVP AND DO NOT SHOW YOU WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE GROUP.** Please understand the hotel and I don't deserve to be stuffed around, so keep your rsvp updated. A small dinner with strangers, stories, and delicious Malaysian food. Food has so much to tell - every dish carries memories. Enjoying the taste is great, but food becomes even more enjoyable when we know the story behind it. This event is not a lecture or a food tour; it is a dinner where we’ll eat together and talk about why we eat what we eat: how dishes travel, how flavours create memories, and how food becomes part of identity. I’ll guide the evening by choosing the dishes and sharing short stories about Malaysian food, ingredients, history, and culture, but the best version of the night is a conversation. Everyone is invited to taste, react, ask questions, and add their own perspective. It will be fun - we might debate the long-running Malaysia-Singapore nasi lemak rivalry, explore how laksa reflects centuries of migration, or look at how trade and colonial politics transformed flavours that many people now think of as traditional. You do not need to know anything about Malaysian food. You might be trying it for the first time, or you might have grown up eating it. Either way, the point is the same: to enjoy great food with good company and discover the stories behind the dishes. Coming alone is very welcome.
