Founded in Naarm/Melbourne, West End Gap are an 8+ piece collective, exploring and expanding upon the music of Fela Kuti and Tony Allen. Led by Iliya Zakharov and Michael Campelj, West End Gap is reimagining the musical, political and philosophical art of afrobeat, highlife, jazz and hip-hop. Debuting their syncopated rhythms, lush horns and tight grooves for the first time at The Curtin, West End Gap is eager to put on an impactful show and get dance floors moving. Joined by Banksia and Sjay, whose contemporary nu-jazz and RnB have solidified themselves as mainstays in the Naarm music scene. Exploring psychedelia, latin & house rhythms, hip-hop and RnB, their listeners are invited to dance, move, feel and connect with their soulful soundscapes.Listen HERE Join for Updates HERE
