In 1987, when James Stewart and Dan Warner added a rhythm section to their guitar duo, the locals, as a joke, started calling the band ‘The Warner Brothers’. Way before ‘alt-country’ was even thought of as a genre, The Warners were paving the way for the next generation of country-lovin’ folk in the inner city. In fact, the band’s first 1992 single ‘Stuck in Melbourne’ still somehow remains a weird singalong country lament – a tiny lamplight searching its way out of the depths of the grunge era. On every Sunday in June, The Warner Brothers return to the NSC for a classic bar-band Sunday arvo residency. James and Dan are still trading blows up the front - and they are joined by original drummer James Carden as referee, and bass player Alics Gate-Eastley as the voice of reason. Buckle up. Welcome to The Noosh! The creative chaos gameshow where performers of all genres test their freshest work and battle it out for Nooshy glory. You too (yes you dear audience member!) also have the chance to play some games and win prizes whilst supporting your local artist flex their creative muscles. So grab your friends, pop in your pocket the willingness to get a little weird and head down to Fun Time Pony for the best mid week dopamine hit. Doors open 6pm, show 7-9pm Sign ups to perfom at Noosh shows are now open! If you want to throw your hat in the ring to test new performance work check out our Instagram @the.noosh.show for how to join us on stage. NB: Fun Time Pony is an underground venue with elevator access, seating is first in best dressed and the show is fast, loud and packs out the venue early. We are happy to reserve seating for patrons who are wheelchair/mobility aid users or with accessibility needs, so please email us at thenooshshow@gmail.com at the time of purchasing your tickets to arrange.
