Twilight Second Screening Due to Demand at The Revival House PerthSeventeen-year-old Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) moves from sunny Phoenix to the perpetually overcast town of Forks, Washington, to live with her father. At her new high school, she becomes fascinated by the mysterious Cullen family—particularly the brooding, beautiful Edward (Robert Pattinson), who seems simultaneously drawn to and repelled by her presence. When Edward saves Bella from a car crash with impossible speed and strength, she begins to suspect the truth: Edward and his family are vampires who have sworn off human blood. Despite the danger—Edward's very scent makes Bella irresistible to him—they fall deeply in love. But their relationship attracts the attention of a sadistic tracker vampire named James (Cam Gigandet), who becomes obsessed with hunting Bella. Edward and his family must protect her while Bella grapples with her desire to become a vampire herself and spend eternity with Edward.Director Catherine Hardwicke adapts Stephenie Meyer's bestselling novel into a moody supernatural romance that launched a cultural phenomenon. The 2008 film leans into the Pacific Northwest's misty forests and gray skies, with cinematographer Elliot Davis creating a dreamy, desaturated aesthetic that mirrors Bella's emotional landscape. Stewart and Pattinson's chemistry—awkward, intense, and all-consuming—captures teenage obsession, while the supporting cast of vampires brings athletic grace to baseball-playing-in-thunderstorms and tree-climbing romance. Carter Burwell's score and the indie rock soundtrack featuring Muse, Paramore, and Linkin Park define the film's melancholic atmosphere. The film transforms vampire mythology into metaphor for first love's intensity and danger, creating a romance that resonated with millions while dividing audiences between devotion and mockery.Original format and audio experience of this film faithfully reproduced by The Revival House. Presented in 35mm film unless noted otherwise. When: Saturday, May 30th at 4:20PM Where: The Revival House at the Como Theatre Rating: M (Supernatural themes and violence)The vampire romance that defined a generation—experience Hardwicke's moody Pacific Northwest love story in 35mm film.Presented by: The Revival House Perth
