In an age of endless notifications and fractured attention, Thundercat turns the chaos inward on Distracted, his long-awaited new album and one of his most resonant statements yet. Six years on from It Is What It Is, the record captures the restless aftermath of grief and modern overload, balancing existential weight with Thundercat’s unmistakable wit and warmth. It’s an album that laughs through the noise, folding jazz-fusion virtuosity, elastic funk and late-night introspection into songs that feel like unfiltered inner monologues: tender, funny, and painfully human. That philosophy carries directly into the live experience. Onstage, Thundercat treats Distracted not as a lecture on modern life, but as a shared release, stretching songs, breaking the fourth wall, leaning into humour and spontaneity as a form of survival. These Australian shows with Niche Productions and The Operatives promise moments of presence inside the noise: music that drifts, refocuses, and reminds you why joy still matters. Welcome to The Noosh! The creative chaos gameshow where performers of all genres test their freshest work and battle it out for Nooshy glory. You too (yes you dear audience member!) also have the chance to play some games and win prizes whilst supporting your local artist flex their creative muscles. So grab your friends, pop in your pocket the willingness to get a little weird and head down to Fun Time Pony for the best mid week dopamine hit. Doors open 6pm, show 7-9pm Sign ups to perfom at Noosh shows are now open! If you want to throw your hat in the ring to test new performance work check out our Instagram @the.noosh.show for how to join us on stage. NB: Fun Time Pony is an underground venue with elevator access, seating is first in best dressed and the show is fast, loud and packs out the venue early. We are happy to reserve seating for patrons who are wheelchair/mobility aid users or with accessibility needs, so please email us at thenooshshow@gmail.com at the time of purchasing your tickets to arrange.
