Don’t miss out on these free, casual meditation classes! The meditation classes cater for people of all experience levels and are run in a relaxed environment. No stretches or physical exercises are involved in learning this simple yet effective technique. **Effortless Meditation** The word ‘Sahaja’ can be translated as ‘Spontaneous’ or ‘Simple’, and is at the outset a hypothesis that meditation can come easily for those who are willing to practice regularly (even briefly each day). Sahaja Yoga defines meditation as ‘thoughtless awareness’, a state where you are completely conscious but at the same time completely without thought. In this state, we gain a unique perspective and insight into the beauty of our own innate nature. Physical and mental health benefits have also been attributed to regular meditation practice through comprehensive Australian research (Learn more in the book ‘silence your mind’ or at www.beyondthemind.com). Sahaja Yoga meditation was founded by HH Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi in 1970, and is based on kundalini awakening. Shri Mataji felt that meditation is an essential part of our spiritual growth. She felt that because meditation is so essential, a free and simple method to achieve it must be made available for everyone. Sahaja Yoga is now practiced in over 52 countries worldwide.
