β οΈ FOR YOUR SAFETY & ENJOYMENT, PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION BELOW FULLY BEFORE YOU CLICK βAttendβ! ******************************************** π DATE: Sunday, 24 May 2026. π MEETING POINTS: π 9.45am - those travelling by public transport, meet the group at Parramatta station - West Concourse entry/exit after tap on/off, in front of the bright red Australia Post Parcel. π 11am - those travelling by car, meet the group on the lawn - opposite Lake Parramatta Cafe & Parramatta Kayak/Row Boats Hire. πLook for group of good looking people with backpacks. π ******************************************** πΈ WHAT TO EXPECT: πΆ The Lake Parramatta Reserve is a man-made reservoir just north of Parramatta and 30 kilometers west of the Sydney CBD. The Lake Parramatta Reserve is open all year round, with the main gate opening at 6:30am and closing at 5:30pm (7:30pm during Summer months). π§Ί Besides hiking, the area also offers great picnicking and BBQ facilities, a designated swimming area, playgrounds and free parking. π¦ The Lake Parramatta Reserve is home to a lot of native birds and animals that you may spot such as rosellas, cockatoos, kookaburras, frogs, ducks and lizards. ******************************************** πΆββοΈFrom Parramatta station, we will head towards Lake Parramatta crossing Lennox Bridge on Parramatta River along local roads and cemetery about 3.5 km or an hour leisure walk each way. π» Public toilets located next to Lake Parramatta Cafe at the playground area. π₯Ύ We will walk on a relaxing pace for the Circuit Walk, family and dogs friendly trails around 5 km on a moderate grade. π₯Ύ Few uneven rocky surfaces, ups and downs hills, creek crossings and stair climbs. π₯Ύ Tracks expected to be wet, muddy and slippery at few sections. π€³ It takes about 1.5 - 2.5 hours on a relaxing pace for a full circuit depending on how many stops for a break, photo sessions and selfies. π§Ί Once we finish the Circuit Walk, we will have a BYO picnic lunch (or from the cafe), a swim if you like and just chillaxing for a chat. πΆββοΈ You may leave home at anytime after the walk. πΆ Water activities - hire a rowboats, pedal boats, canoes, kayaks and stand up boards from 10am to 6pm on weekends, public holidays and during school holidays. https://www.parramattarowboats.com.au/ β οΈ IMPORTANT INFORMATION β οΈ π TERMS & DISCLAIMER: Attending this event is voluntarily at your own risk. Jeans or cotton t-shirt may not be suitable for this walk. π₯Ύ Waterproof hiking boots or good grip walking shoes highly recommended. π¦ At least 1.8L of water, Hydralyte and sports energy drinks. π₯ͺ Snacks and packed lunch. π§’ Hat, sunscreen and insect repellent. β Basic First Aid kit and hand sanitiser. π§₯ Light raincoat or a poncho ($2 from Kmart, Bunnings or variety shops) just in case of wet weather. ππΌββοΈ Cozzies and towel of you wish to swim. π΅ GRATUITY π΅ $5 CASH per person for this event. β Please bring correct change on the day to speed up the meet and greet. π² Or PayID to my mobile: 0405038557.
