About this event

Join us for an early morning walk at 'Oxley Common' at 7.30 am at the 'Oxley Common' walking path. The trail is on Sherwood Road, Rocklea - past the markets - going towards Sherwood (where the school and the RSPCA shop are). The entrance is easy to miss as it is just past a little rise in the road. It is opposite a business called - 'Cheap Cars'. There is lots of parking, (you might have to park on the grass). We will meet at the big red shed that is near the toilets. We will walk down through a shaded area to an area with lots of pine trees, then we can walk down another sunny path path to the creek. The walk is about 5 kms. Join us for breakfast or just coffee after the walk at 'Market Organics' that is about 2 minutes away. The walk is a great way to start the day! We hope that you can join us!

Domino Rail Trail from Trentham to Lyonville return

An early start for this 12km up and back hike on an old rail line which follows a direct route from Historic Trentham station, cutting through the Wombat Forest to Lyonville and return . It is a reasonably flat walk. MEETING PLACE : The Historic Trentham Train station 8.30 am for 8.45am start . We will grab Coffee/tea and sample some of their delicious homebaked cakes and scones. This historic public hall hosts the Café de Lyonville, a community-run initiative that operates fortnightly and operated entirely by volunteers and the hall committee, all proceeds go directly toward maintaining the building.
