**Lecture: Friday 15 May, 2026** **7:00pm- 8:30 pm** ***JUNG’S PRIMAL DREAM AND ITS EFFECTS ON HIS LIFE*** **Dr Sally Kester** In *Memories, Dreams, Reflections* Jung records his primal dream which he had at three years of age. In it he descends into an underground chamber and encounters an enthroned phallus, and he gives both associations and interpretation. The talk explores further aspects of the dream to show its lifelong implication for both his inner and outer life. **Dr** **Sally Kester** has had two parallel careers, each of them for over forty years. She has been a Jungian analyst in private practice for forty-six years, twenty of them as a training analyst for The Australian and New Zealand Society of Jungian Analysts. She has lectured extensively to the CG Jung Society of WA as well as to Jung Societies around Australia. She was also a part-time lecturer in the School of Music at The University of WA for forty-two years, and for ten years was a professional music critic. For some twenty-five years she presented pre-concert talks for the West Australian Symphony Orchestra. Her doctoral thesis was on Wagner’s Ring Cycle and she has presented lectures and workshops to Wagner Societies in five states\*\*.\*\* **Venue: Cottesloe Civic Centre Lesser Hall** **Corner of Napier Street and Broome Street, Cottesloe** **Cost: $10 (members), $15 Concession $20 (general)** **C.G.
