She has a warm and genuine stage presence that draws audiences in and makes them feel part of every performance. Her refined musicianship is evident in skilled arrangements, and in the freedom of her improvisations. At only 21 years old, Jess placed 3rd in the prestigious National Jazz Awards held at the 2020 Wangaratta Festival of Jazz and Blues, and in 2019, she performed at the Siena International Jazz Festival in Italy. Most recently, Jess was nominated for the 2022 Freedman Fellowship Awards amongst the vanguard of Australian jazz musicians.
