The class will explain life according to Buddhism- things that we can relate to through our own experience combined with logic. The Buddha said not to accept his words out of respect for him but to examine like you would check to see if something was really gold. We will explore; * The mind- what is mind, where does it come from and whats is nature * Why do we get angry or attached to things? * How do we find inner peace * Can I truly find happiness and stop suffering The session will start with a meditation. During the session there will be an opportunity for questions and interactive discussion. There will be a break in the middle of the class. Afterwards if you wish we can go to the powerhouse for refreshments to continue the exploration. *Alan has been studying and practicing Buddhism for 32 years and graduated from Chenrezig Institute study program. He has led two one month retreats and has done many months of retreats within a group and solitary*
