The organisers of the very successful AI in Project Management meetup now bring you a low-key small group event, where we present and discuss the application of Artificial Intelligence tools and methods to improve the work of project professionals. Coombabah Lakeland Reserve

Location: Coombabah Lakelands Distance: 12-14 K return Difficulty: Easy, Grade 2 Meet-up time 9.15am Start Time: 9.30 am Carry your lunch in your back-pack: Meet-up: Rain Tree Glen opposite Mason Air Strip End Cost: $2 Car Pooling from Nerang Fair: Meet up 8.45 leave 8.55 as its a 9.30 am start. Please comment with vacancies and to book. ***Walk leader: Warwick 0408 300056*** Please read the **Conditions of Group Membership and event participation** at the end of the walk description. This is an easy 3- 4 hour walk. 2 -3 hours before lunch and 1 hour after. The walk will commence from the track to the NW of the Mason Field air strip, making our way to the Coombabah Lake and to the very NW of the reserve. We will proceed towards the Myola Creek where we will traverse both sides making our way to our lunch stop on the banks of the Coombabah Creek, where fishermen in their tinnies will be spotted trying their luck and, crab pots will be in evidence along the banks. After lunch our return will be once again along the northern bank of the Myola Creek with its boardwalk and to the grass track alongside of the new development of Runaway Lagoons but remaining within the Coombabah reserve. From the top of the creek back to our vehicle will be just about 1½ kilometres a very easy stroll. The walk throughout is either upon good level gravel tracks, manmade boardwalks across the inlets and sunken waterways and some grass tracks. No uphill slogs or any climbing or scrambling on this one. However there are no park/barbecue benches and tables to take lunch on, this one will be pioneering style on the green soft river banks or if you are lucky on a nearby rock. Should be fun! Meet 9.15am for a 9.30 am start, parking near of the last track on the right hand side after the Mason Field air strip. The meeting point cannot be reached via Shelter Road off the Brisbane Road. The UBD shows a continuous road but it is blocked off by high security gates of the Waste Treatment Plant and the laboratory, so you have to access from Pine Ridge Road end and through Rain Tree Glen, proceed through the automatic gates of the Coombabah Lakelands Conservation Area. Please carry your lunch to-day! Coffee will at a venue to be determined. **Conditions of Group Membership and event participation** 1 GCMWWG is not an incorporated association or organisation and is composed of individuals who join with each other in an informal manner to engage in the pleasurable activity of bushwalking and accordingly each individual member is required to take personal responsibility for his or her own safety and to comply with the recommendations published on the Group’s meet up website and with directions given from time to time by any walk leader of a Bushwalk undertaken by the Group. 2 Participants are recommended: (i) to wear walking boots which provide ankle support; (ii) carry his or her own rucksack which will contain at least 1 litre of fresh water in watertight containers and personal first aid items including band-aids (or similar), bandages, antiseptic, insect repellents and sunscreen and foodstuffs appropriate to the length and timing of the bushwalk; (iii) to make a realistic assessment prior to participating in a bushwalk as to whether the participants’ physical condition will allow the participant to enjoyably and safely engage in the bushwalking activity without endangering the safety and enjoyment of other participants; (iv) to wear or carry clothing suitable for each walk including clothing (such as a waterproof jacket or poncho) that is appropriate for unexpected changes in the weather. 3 Each bushwalk undertaken by the Group shall have a nominated leader who will walk at the front of the Group (“walk leader”) and a nominated person who will walk at the rear of the group (“back marker”). The walk leader will set the pace of the walk and will halt the walk at appropriate times in his or her discretion for rests and drink breaks and meal breaks. The back marker will endeavour to keep the group together at all times and to notify the walk leader if any untoward accident or injury is sustained by any participant. The walk leader and the back marker for each bushwalk will be nominated by the Group Leader. 4 Each participant will be required to observe any directions or instructions given by the walk leader including any instruction to shorten the walk, change the route of the walk or abandon the walk due to any unexpected change of circumstances such as track closure or obstruction, inclement weather and/or injury or illness suffered by any member. 5 Any one of the Group Leader, walk leader or back marker for each bushwalk undertaken by the group shall carry with him or her a mobile phone and a first aid kit. 6 There shall be published in each event's description a degree of difficulty by the Group a statement as to the degree of difficulty of the proposed bushwalk so that members may realistically assess whether they (or their guests) have the requisite degree of physical fitness required to pleasurably and safely undertake the proposed bushwalk. 7 Details of each proposed bushwalk including the walk route, the commencement time and the anticipated time required to complete the walk will be published on the Group’s meet up website.

Continuing along the Canal we walk Sydney Park to St Peter’s Station where the walk ends. 🌸⛱🌸 LUNCH: Sydney Airport Viewing Platform…. This is not negotiable. 🌸🐌🌸 As this is a walking group, bikes, ebikes, scooters, escooters, and pogo sticks are not compatible or welcome. 🌸👣🌸 Grading for my walks: Easy: Mainly flat, suburban, loads of get out points, up to 14kms. Easy-Medium: some stairs, a few uneven surfaces, up to 15kms. Medium: Stairs, rocks, coastal beaches/sand, ups, downs, get out points limited, up to 17kms Medium-Hard: uneven surfaces, need to take extreme care and be hike fit. Few get out points. Tracks, uneven surfaces, steep inclinations and limited resources. 🌸👯‍♀️🌸 WALKING GUIDELINES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Carry sufficient food and water (2 litres) for the expected conditions of the walk. Pls don’t separate from the group, unless you let someone know, preferably me.
