The Charters Towers Rodeo Association is made up of dedicated volunteers – both new and experienced – who work to ensure local representation in the sport of rodeo and the continuation of Charters Towers’ signature event: the Heart of the Goldfields Rodeo.Held annually in July at the Dalrymple Equestrian Centre, the rodeo is a highlight for local competitors and the wider rural community, offering a chance to connect, celebrate, and enjoy the excitement of rodeo.The event has grown into a major attraction in North Queensland, consistently selling out and drawing thousands of spectators from across Australia. It has been recognized for its impact and quality, including Community Event of the Year at the 2021 Australia Day Awards and ranking among the top four Australian Professional rodeos in 2023. For 2026, the rodeo will continue to expand, featuring live music and entertainment across both Friday and Saturday nights, making it a must-visit event for rodeo fans and families alike.

Welcome to The Noosh! The creative chaos gameshow where performers of all genres test their freshest work and battle it out for Nooshy glory. You too (yes you dear audience member!) also have the chance to play some games and win prizes whilst supporting your local artist flex their creative muscles. So grab your friends, pop in your pocket the willingness to get a little weird and head down to Fun Time Pony for the best mid week dopamine hit. Doors open 6pm, show 7-9pm Sign ups to perfom at Noosh shows are now open! If you want to throw your hat in the ring to test new performance work check out our Instagram @the.noosh.show for how to join us on stage. NB: Fun Time Pony is an underground venue with elevator access, seating is first in best dressed and the show is fast, loud and packs out the venue early. We are happy to reserve seating for patrons who are wheelchair/mobility aid users or with accessibility needs, so please email us at thenooshshow@gmail.com at the time of purchasing your tickets to arrange.
