Bodhiel and his band return to the Bergy Bandroom in an ever-evolving quest for self and expression, with an explosive set that melds influences of funk and rock into his take on Australian Hip-Hop. After the release of his album ‘As Hearts We Heal’ in 2025, Bodhiel continues to explore a sound that blends the live elements of riffs, drum breaks and basslines with the textures of synths to create a backing for his rhythmic and punchy vocal delivery, as well as the soulful tones of vocalist/keyboardist Matt Rabot. Enter a world of deep musings and celebrations of life, born of the human experience and turned to song from scrawled pages and voice notes - the translation of a heart's journey into words that can be danced to. Alongside Bodhiel are Neo-Soul/RnB powerhouses 'Do Not Disturb' and Catherine Kamal. Do Not Disturb is an Alt RnB / Electro-Soul band based in Melbourne. They challenge the boundaries of traditional RnB by implementing two keyboard players in their 5-piece lineup, resulting in a more synthesised sound. From Erykah Badu to Magdalena Bay, the band draws inspiration from Neo soul classics with modern digitised tones that create a rich soundscape. Kimmy (lead vocalist), contrasts the band’s more electronic arrangement with soulful lyricism that illustrates the need for real world connection in a world all consumed by technology. Do Not Disturb’s latest single “Turn off the Light”, set to be recorded this year, sheds a light on the desire to put down your phones and be present with the ones you love. Singer-songwriter based in Naarm, Catherine Kamal contributes as a grounding presence to the neo-soul space, effortlessly blending warmth, sincerity and groove. Influenced by R&B, Jazz and Disco, her sound moves fluidly between joy and heartbreak, carried by smooth rhythms and an open heart. With plans to record and release new music later this year, she is also beginning to make her mark performing locally around Melbourne.
