Our monthly meetup events bring together students, professionals, industry leaders, and aspiring defenders to learn, connect, and explore ethical pathways into technology and cybersecurity. For Meetup #0x16, we're combining a global cybercrime update with a practical, hands-on introduction to one of the most important technologies in modern computing and cybersecurity: Docker. *** ## About the Session Over the past several weeks, Hck4G Founder Sammy Chuks and the Hck4G Team have been on the ground across Africa delivering the Hck4G Cybercrime Awareness & Advocacy for Action Tour. This special session will begin with a recap of the tour, sharing insights from engagements with students, universities, technology communities, cybersecurity professionals, and policymakers. Sammy will provide an update on emerging cybercrime trends observed throughout the tour, along with highlights from the latest global cybercrime developments impacting communities around the world. The second half of the evening shifts into a practical technical workshop focused on containers and Docker. Containers have transformed how applications are developed, deployed, tested, and secured. Whether you're a developer, security practitioner, cloud engineer, penetration tester, or simply curious about modern infrastructure, understanding containers is rapidly becoming an essential skill.
