As humans, connection is something we all seek. Whether it is for friendship, companionship, a partner or just someone to binge-watch your favourite series with. It all starts with an initial interaction. That's where "Better Together" comes in. People who are attending, are seeking friends, companions, partners, sometimes only one of those, sometimes all three. This event allows for that. The first hour is a quick five minute chat with multiple people jumping from one chat to another after the five minutes is up. The chat could be one-on-one, it could be one-on-five, and it could alternate between them. It's up to you. The idea is to have multiple conversations to warm up your socialising skills and to relax. Once the hour is done and you are warmed up, it is now up to you how your evening pans out. There are designated areas to signify whether you are seeking friendship, companionship, or a partner. You can stay in one area or you can change around. It's all up to you and how you feel in the moment. As you go through the evening, if you connect with someone, just make a note on your sheet, which you hand in at the end of the night, and a couple of days later, you find out if others had the same connection by receiving an email address.
