We do our meetings a bit differently for a few reasons. We're a first of its kind start-up charity autistic run, autistic led, building houses for autistic people with foundational supports for autistic people designed by autistic people. As we're a new startup registered as a charity for just over a year this timing is a chance to participate in a unique opportunity to be a part of the early design crew. So you can expect to make friends and connections with some amazing people while also sharing your experiences, hopes, needs and individual vision in a meaningful way grounded in achieving these outcomes. Another reason we're a bit different from other autism groups is many groups fit a neuronormative format which is inaccessible for me as someone with substantial support needs and that usually means that others are experiencing the same. As someone who has spent the last decade building pathways I have found that what helps me will help others if I build it. I have a very difficult time in standard venues which are noisy, poorly designed and expect payment or purchase of some kind to be there. I do much better in natural spaces, especially if they have the accessibility, centrality and provisions of our chosen area at Roma Street Parklands. I have a delayed sleep phase which means I cannot attend morning or early meetings, and my entire nervous system is better equipped later in the day and again studies suggest I'm not alone in autistic populations in this. Additionally, I am very mindful of the ongoing disruption to public transport and deliberated over when to place the meetings so they would be less susceptible to these disruptions. That's why a weekday evening has been selected for the moment. We will be adding an online component to these meetings so if you would like to come but aren't local or cannot physically attend you can let us know if you would be interested in a zoom or teams option. You are most welcome and encouraged to bring support people if that helps you or anything you have to accommodate your needs.

AI is no longer a future concept — it's being engineered into production systems today. We're rebuilding a practitioner-led space where Melbourne's AI engineering community connects, learns, and ships better work together. After a year away, we're back – and bigger in focus. Same community, sharper lens: the *engineering* of building AI systems that survive contact with production. Our first event back is themed "Building AI That Ships." Two talks from local practitioners, then time to mingle with the people working on the same problems you are. **Who is this for** AI engineers · software engineers shipping LLM features · ML engineers and data scientists · product managers building AI products · technical leaders. **Important Note** After clicking "Attend" on this meetup, you'll also need to register through this [link](https://invites.envoy.com/group-invite/8UV8AVxbXWNFdtTq/exceeded) to gain access to the venue! **Run time** * **5:30 – 6:00** — Doors open · food + drinks · networking * **6:00 – 6:10** — Welcome * **6:10 – 6:30** — Talk 1: Designing the Harness around AI agents * **6:30 – 6:50** — Talk 2: AI for Future of Engineering * **7:00 – 7:30** — Panel Discussion: The Engineering Day in AI Era * **7:30 – 7:50** — Open networking * **7:50 – 8:00** — Wrap up See you there! 🙌
