South Australia has a world class heavy music scene, and we’re bringing four of the best to The Gov for a night to remember on Friday 17 July. We are beyond excited to welcome Adelaide’s legendary DOUBLE DRAGON as our headliner. Hot on the heels of their triumphant resurrection at Froth and Fury 2026, the Dragons are back and ready to take on the world with their blend of old school metal intertwined with elements of melodic death and metalcore. Originally formed in 2002, and with multiple albums and EPs to their name, Double Dragon’s sound harkens back to metal's glory days while still sounding contemporary. With back-to-back riffs, twin guitar harmonies, blistering solos, and a mix of clean and screamed vocals, the band delivers a heavy and aggressive sound that hits just as hard today as it did 20 years ago. To mark their comeback, Double Dragon dropped their first new single, The Inconceivable Cost, on 1 January. The track has received widespread praise and has fired up fans who are ready to rally behind Double Dragon’s next chapter. The Dragons will be joined by three very special guests - the gritty, fast and furious HEADBORE, who are riding a wave of glowing reviews for their latest album, Branded, are up immediately before Double Dragon. Local metalcore kings STORM THE CROWN bring crushing riffs, heavy breakdowns and atmospheric elements to the stage, and the unholy trinity of Jasons, NAKATOMI PLAZA, will kick off proceedings with their trademark energy and colossal, anthemic choruses.
