Silent Book Club - BOOtoo

The Silent Book Club is a real globally based movement: [https://silentbook.club/](https://silentbook.club/) The idea of this book club is that you read your own book in silence at a public place with friends and peers. The event format will work like this: **1:30 pm - 2:00 pm:** arrive and order food or coffee and chat about what you’re reading. **2:00 pm - 3:00 pm:** silently read for an hour - a 57-minute timer will be put into place to wind up silent reading. **3:00 pm - 3:30 pm:** you can choose to leave or hang back and socially chat afterwards. This event will be a reoccurring event on the Third Sunday of every month between January - December 2026. We will be in the private room at BOOtoo café.

**Who We are..... 🤝** Our journey to bring people together began in January of 2022. The group was started with a simple intention to gather and meet some likeminded people - connecting through the powerful act of meditation and sharing our genuine selves while sitting in a circle that represents equality, harmony and wholeness( *we believe everyone in the circle is a teacher and a student at the same time)*. And over the last 4 years of consistently coming together, we have fostered a beautiful, loving, dependable community where members from all walks of life have experienced a sacred space to sit in silence together and meditate, share their authentic selves, give presence to others and forge meaningful and long lasting connections. Reiki is all about balance so we have six seats for men, six seats for women. These circles are open to anyone curious about Reiki or anyone in need of a deeply relaxing experience and a chance to throw something into the fire to let it go. Ronnie will lead you through an easy to follow meditation while her team of Reiki Students and practitioners give Reiki to everyone in the circle. It’s a wonderful opportunity to experience the relaxing, nurturing, balancing energy of Reiki. Reiki Master/Teacher Ronnie Maree will use her years of experience with circle work, meditation and Reiki to hold a safe supportive space for you to breathe, relax, expand and connect to create a moment in time to let go of something old and bring new dreams into your life. Choose something you want to let go of, by writing a few words down on a piece of paper to burn in the candle flame. We also write down things we want to bring into our lives.
