We welcome neurodiverse minds, introverts, newcomers, plant lovers, those who care for insects and animals and growing things, who want to re-connect with the natural world as well as make likeminded friends and build a sense of community. We will meet at the Observatory Café, get coffee if we want to, walk in the Gardens and talk about the plants and trees, and then share a picnic. Saying what you actually need, without melting down or shutting down, is hard. For a lot of neurodivergent folks it is even harder: rejection sensitivity, masking, and a lifetime of being told we are "too much" or "too blunt" can leave us stuck between bottling things up and exploding. This month we are getting practical. We will work through two well-tested toolkits for asking for what you want and setting boundaries that stick: **NVC (Nonviolent Communication)**: a simple structure of observation, feeling, need, and request that helps you say the hard thing without blame or apology. **DBT DEARMAN**: a step-by-step script (Describe, Express, Assert, Reinforce, stay Mindful, Appear confident, Negotiate) for getting a request across and holding your ground. Expect plenty of real examples, low-pressure practice, and a chance to workshop a tricky conversation you have been avoiding. No prior knowledge needed. Come as you are, stim freely, step out whenever you need to. This is a relaxed, judgement-free space for neurodivergent adults (ADHD, autistic, AuDHD, and the still-figuring-it-out crowd all welcome). Allies and partners welcome too. Bring yourself, bring a situation, and we will figure out the words together.

inkind Helps You to Make Plans for Friendship Brisbane-based folk duo inkind are set to release their second single ‘Lets Make Plans' on the 21st June at Brisbane’s iconic Junk Bar. Through songs of life lived and lessons learned, inkind encourage us to look after ourselves and one another. We’ll meet here first, grab a coffee or snack if you like, then head off together along the Cronulla Esplanade, a beautiful coastal path with ocean views the whole way. One Day Rising Socials

**Announcing our next Sunday afternoon social event!** We are heading back to the cosy and welcoming Bar Nearby in Box Hill. We love this venue for its friendly team and relaxed vibe *(but don't worry, if you enjoyed the Kilburn last month, we plan on heading back there in July!)* These socials are growing with new friendly faces every month. It is so much fun to host these events and watch ***incredible women from across Melbourne coming together to share food, stories, laughter and also the occasional tear.*** So, if you are in search of fun, connection and lots of relaxed chats with amazing women you've just met, we'd love you to join us! There's no agenda or pressure to impress, ***just come as you are***. *Drinks optional, fun guaranteed!* **What to bring:** Food to share. Yep, that's right!
