Master the Art of Better Decisions

This interactive session equips you with practical tools to enhance Emotional Intelligence (EI), manage cognitive biases and make better decisions by mastering System 1 (emotional reactivity) and System 2 (logical analysis) thinking where EI serves as the vital bridge between the two. By attending this session you will unlock: * Improved decision making: Reduce the "hidden tax" of cognitive shortcuts. Know when to trust our 'gut feelings' and when to switch to rational thought. * Greater performance under pressure: Learn to recognise triggers and pivot from reactive impulses to deliberate, strategic choices when the stakes are high. * Better collaboration: When you regulate your own System 1 responses, psychological safety flourishes, which leads to better collaboration. * Increased resilience: Build a team that doesn’t just survive volatility but thrives in it. ***Facilitators*** ***[Caidryn Roder](https://www.linkedin.com/in/caidyrn/):*** *Co-founded ProSocia and has over 20 years of experience helping people and organisations thrive. We invite you to **play around & find out\*** how much fun and solidarity comes from playing together at a table in a beautiful park, forming new social groups and stimulating the mind and imagination. Free and volunteer-powered. In Earthborne Rangers you explore a world with optimistic “solarpunk” themes as you work as a team to succeed together. ER is like Dungeons & Dragons but a nice change from grim dungeon-crawling and disaster-fighting, and has more structure, less improvisation. Learn more about ER [here](https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/342900/earthborne-rangers). Lifelong game designer Matthew Ford will teach and play. The first half gives you the general idea. After a short break you can continue into more depth for the next half. You will get invited to events for continued intermediate play. Step 1: RSVP to this event and **fill out the form at [this link](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Z31irtO0tZe8dIW7pxdrY2tKaYp8sdoH5XIoUVOffT0/edit)** to state when you would prefer to play. Step 2: **Wait until we send you a message** via Meetup and email stating which time slot we booked you into. Step 3: At your time slot, use the "how to find us" section-- please read it carefully, don't just put destination into a map app. Look for Matthew in a blue hat and gray beard. Free event. Nothing to bring or prepare. Come as you are, even if you know absolutely nothing about it. **We welcome absolutely everyone and ensure a supportive and inclusive atmosphere**. We've face-to-face taught games to over 1000 people of every kind-- join us! Read all this event info and comments carefully both ahead of time and **just before you attend,** as our location and method may change slightly. **How to find us at The Lookout in Victoria Park:** * [From QUT Kelvin Grove campus](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1mhSbmU82uMWKtQMD6ofhV0vuypU_9gMwybbtNEj6Z_s) * [From Centenary Aquatic Centre in Spring Hill](https://docs.google.com/document/d/15odzo0s6OsFT0NfyFWeSRbNZRLMkfemD8JOMetsxu20) \* Bonus info for all who care: As stadium developers approach Victoria Park/Barrambin, they will **find out** how much our community values this special place. Two promise-breaking Olympic stadiums are slated to be built in Victoria Park. Let's **help them find out** why they had better leave this park as undisturbed as possible. We are not led by [www.savevictoriapark.com](http://www.savevictoriapark.com/) or the [Goori Camp Embassy](https://www.instagram.com/gooricampembassy/) but those are a good way to learn more. Could the Federal Budget Cost You Thousands?

## **What every property investor needs to know about the changes happening to negative gearing, capital gains tax and trust taxation — BEFORE the rules change.** The Federal Budget contained several major proposals that could significantly impact how Australians invest in property. Changes have been proposed to: * Negative gearing * Capital gains tax * Discretionary trusts For many investors, these structures form the foundation of their wealth creation strategy. But how would these changes actually work? Who could be affected? What opportunities still exist? And what should investors be thinking about now? At our [Melbourne meetup](https://events.resultsmentoring.com/meetup-vic.html?utm_source=meetup&utm_campaign=drn), **tax specialist Brent McCartney** will break down the proposed changes and explain what they could mean for property investors, developers, renovators and business owners. **What you'll learn...** **Negative Gearing Changes** **Discover:** ✓ What the Government has announced ✓ Which properties may be protected under grandfathering provisions ✓ How the proposed rules could affect future purchases ✓ The implications for investors buying established versus new properties **Capital Gains Tax Changes** **Learn:** ✓ How the current 50% CGT discount could change ✓ The proposed inflation-indexed alternative ✓ What the changes could mean for future property profits ✓ How transitional rules may apply to existing properties **Trust taxation Changes** **Understand:** ✓ The proposed 30% minimum tax on discretionary trusts ✓ Why the Government says the changes are necessary ✓ How family trusts may be affected ✓ Potential restructuring opportunities available during the transition period ✓ Real-world examples illustrating the potential financial impact **[RSVP now to attend FREE in-person or via Zoom](https://events.resultsmentoring.com/meetup-vic.html?utm_source=meetup&utm_campaign=drn)** **Why This Matters** Many investors spend years building portfolios based on rules that can change with a single Budget announcement. The investors who understand the implications early have more options, more time to plan and greater confidence when making future decisions. This session is not about politics. It's about understanding the proposed changes and making informed investment decisions. The proposed Budget changes could have significant implications for how Australians invest, structure and grow their wealth through property. Whether you own one investment property or a large portfolio, this is an opportunity to understand the potential impact before important decisions need to be made. **Important:** If you plan to attend, please click the RSVP link below and register. This helps us manage venue numbers and ensures you receive event reminders. **[RSVP now to attend FREE in-person or via Zoom](https://events.resultsmentoring.com/meetup-vic.html?utm_source=meetup&utm_campaign=drn)** **FAQ's** **-> Can I bring someone else along?** Yes, you are welcome to bring anyone who is interested in property investing, renovating, developing - it's all about learning and networking with like-minded investors. Please ask them to RSVP so that we know how many people are coming. **-> What are you selling?** Nothing, these meetups are all about learning and networking with like-minded people. **-> What are my Parking options?** There is plenty of parking in the street. We look forward to seeing you there. Best regards, – Tony **PS** You can attend in person or online by **[clicking here](https://events.resultsmentoring.com/meetup-vic.html?utm_source=meetup&utm_campaign=drn)**

Make sure to also connect with our community on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/openheartmeditation INTRODUCTION On the surface level Open Heart Meditation is a very simple yet effective way to shut the busy mind down, relax and unwind, and to reconnect with peace. Many people come as a quick way to recharge for the week and to find inner peace. On a deeper level Open Heart Meditation is about opening the heart to know your True Self and to connect with our Creator - the ultimate source of love and life - what we call "True Source". The divine energy from True Source (the Reiki energy) is a beautiful restorative energy of healing, joy, love and blessings. It's suitable for people from all religions because it's non denominational and helps people to better connect with their chosen spiritual path - experientially through the heart (rather than through the head with more thinking and theory). When you are connected to this abundant source of life energy every day, you will in turn receive life more abundantly. It will improve your overall happiness, health, and general well-being. You will find yourself more calm and less reactive; your choices in life will be more sound and centred; and you will be more in line with your True Self - all beyond the limited intelligence of the mind, other worldly wisdoms, and fluctuating emotions. The greater purpose of this practice for those who wish to pursue it beyond relaxation and healing is to return home - back to our Creator from where we all originated from - the ultimate source of life and unconditional love. Open Heart Meditation is therefore very different to many popular types of meditation, such as Mindfulness Meditation for the following reasons: • It does not rely on the mind or observation, or on emotions, but rather it is focused on the heart. We teach you how to easily shut the mind down, to open the heart, and sense from it. • Instead of practicing detachment, we teach you to attach to the source of abundant life first. This will then help you detach from all forms of negativities naturally without any effort. In doing so, this will gradually iron out negative reactive responses, smoothing your life's path. • This blessing, is a gift of Grace and cannot be earned by greater effort. The only thing one can do is to just receive this gift from True Source with an open heart, in gratitude. This group is dedicated to those who would like to learn, practice and share about Open Heart Meditation. Everyone is welcome to join, learn and contribute in a positive, safe and caring environment. :-) For more information about Open Heart Meditation: https://naturalwayofliving.com/wellness-programs/open-heart-meditation/ PERTH TESTIMONIALS "We are so incredibly blessed with Open Heart Meditation - the truth that we've learnt and discovered for ourselves; the lovely community; and what it is doing for our soul permanently. So grateful for this huge blessing. Thank you all for what is coming to my first year with you smiley lot." Ronnie Chua, Perth Australia "Isn't it lovely when you intend to pray for something and immediately feel the love pour down like a bucket of water..Then your heart remembers that the love is everywhere and so you feel like you're swimming in it instead..Now you can't even remember what you were going to pray about because the only 2 words left are 'thank you'" Yalda, Perth, Australia "Before learning about the heart, when I prayed to True Source, it felt flat, and I was never sure if my prayers were heard. I remember how I prayed only when I had problems in my life, or because at school or at church a bunch of us were being told to pray together. Words came out of me without any feeling; I was simply reading prayer lines. Now it is completely different: prayers have become beautiful, and I am able to go into a deep state of connection. I feel how I am communicating with True Source-how my prayers reach up to True Source, Lovingly listening, and are accepted with the beauty of Love." Sunny Tjandrakesuma, Perth, Australia

NLP Practitioner 2024

Hi there, you are very lucky. If you're interested in growing yourself, or your skills as a human being, we have some incredible training available for you in ways never seen before here in Brisbane. This is going to save you a lot of time and you're going to be able to do this far more easily than those before you. Normally the options to do NLP is either online or fly to Sydney/Melbourne. But now, you can do it here. Better still, instead of trying to do it all in one hit and forgetting much of it, we do weekly sessions so you can implement and allow your brain to do its magic better. We do this late on Wednesday nights so you learn and get some uninterrupted time to develop yourself. This is going to fit into your calendar with ease. What is NLP: 'Neuro Linguistic Programming' was discovered in the 70's and is still being developed. So so so much training, personal development, leadership development, coaching, is done utilizing much of what the NLP people discovered in the 70's. Chances are, you've been exposed to it, without even knowing. NLP empowers, enables and teaches us to better understand the way our brain (neuro) responds to the words and world around us. Much like a computer, we use a language (linguistic) to code it all. Then we consciously and unconsciously have repetition and preferences (programming). NLP has been defined as the “users manual for your mind” or "The users manual for minds". Studying NLP gives us insights into how our thinking patterns can affect every aspect of our lives. NLP gives us strategies for observing human behaviour in ANYONE and replicating or modifying the strategies. Essential for becoming excellent at ANYTHING. Sadly, every mega-corporation in the world already studied NLP, hired NLP consultants and are still doing it but to benefit their profit margins not you. They are using it to sell our kids 'Happy Meals', or 'a Mars a day, helps you work, rest and play'. If you think Coca Cola or a beer is refreshing you've had your brain programmed. Thankfully, we can modify that! Personally, I was always curious why so many people buy books on making money, lottery tickets or gambled yet so few became financially free. Curious why so many people wanted to be fitter, or healthier but struggled. And at one point, I went from a long term relationship to single and friendless and got transferred to Brisbane. I was an emotional wreck, afraid to talk to the opposite sex or even make friends in a new city. Yet NLP changed ALL this. It made everything possible. It also enables me, to support those I care about in new ways. Do you really want to be someone that can get struck with fear, anxiety, self-sabotage, procrastination? No. Let's educate ourselves and take control. The Next Course & The Offer Today: Ran out of room with meetup!!!! http://motivatecommunity.com/nlptraininginbrisbane/ MARKETING FLYER HERE: https://1drv.ms/b/s!ArgfsJvN8d2-gv80F-BGrtN7GzBWaw?e=7tU82l
