 rns\, Brisbane\, Adelaide\, Sydney\, Hunter Region and Online since 2010\,
  we are all-inclusive community choirs and we’re on a mission just to get 
 people singing by providing a fun and funky space for people of all musica
 l experience to make a joyful noise together. We sing a range of pop\, sou
 l and gospel songs that you'll love to sing and that our audiences will lo
 ve to hear. Our secret weapon lies in the way we do things - our rehearsal
 s are judgement-free places where you can sing in safety regardless of exp
 erience or ability.\n\nSo\, Walkerville - let's get singing!\n\nNew member
 s from 18 upwards are welcome at any time and your first rehearsal is FREE
  so you can check us out without obligation.\n\nOur members are teachers\,
  electricians\, nurses\, lawyers\, business owners\, students\, retirees a
 nd retail workers - we have quite a few mums and daughters/mums and sons/d
 ads and daughters/sets of sisters too so it's a great way to stay connecte
 d with your family and have fun together! Some have a heap of musical expe
 rience when they come to us but the majority have little or none.\n\nEvery
 thing about Soul Song is designed to make life easy for you. We know you'r
 e busy so there are no committees and no expectation for you to come to ev
 ery single rehearsal - you just come when you feel like singing.\n\nWhat's
  even better is that there are no auditions and you don't even have to be 
 able to read music. We teach all the songs by ear in a fun and relaxed atm
 osphere and we provide you with all the lyrics you need as well as some ad
 ditional resources for those who want to practice on their own during the 
 week.\n\nThe songs we sing are generally pop songs from all eras but with 
 some gospel\, Motown and soul thrown in. We sing generally in three or fou
 r part harmony and with either professional backing tracks or a cappella (
 which means without instruments).\n\nWe are on a mission just to get peopl
 e singing by providing a fun and funky space for people of all musical exp
 erience to sing together music that is good for the soul.\n\nBut be warned
  - we play as hard as we sing!\n\n***\n\nTHE REHEARSAL EXPERIENCE\n\nSoul 
 Song Adelaide - Walkerville\, directed by Brianna Teehan\, rehearses on Tu
 esday evenings.\n\nWe start singing at 6.30pm but we are set up and ready 
 to go from 6pm so you are welcome to come in early to say hi and get set u
 p and settled in. Rehearsals go through until 8.30pm. We wander along to T
 he Walkers Arms after rehearsal for a drink and some social time too.\n\nR
 ehearsals are primarily about working on repertoire and building vocal tec
 hnique but we try to mix things up each week to keep them interesting and 
 we also work a lot in smaller sections to help songs progress faster.\n\nT
 hose who come the most often get the most out of Soul Song but there is no
  expectation for people to come every single week and we have lots of reso
 urces available for those who miss a week or a few to help them catch up i
 f they want to. You'll get more information on this when you join\, but th
 ese include online rehearsals\, rehearsals recordings\, audio learning tra
 cks\, video tutorials\, sheet music\, technical tutorials and more.\n\nYou
 r first rehearsal is FREE so you can come along and check us out without o
 bligation. Once you sign up as a member and pay your fees\, you can attend
  as many rehearsals a week online or in person as you want. You can pay by
  the term ($205 standard or $133 concession/under 30s) or on a weekly recu
 rring subscription basis ($18 standard or $12 concession/under 30s). Conce
 ssion rates apply to students\, concession card holders\, pensioners etc a
 nd under 30s with our #under30perks\n\nWe will give you a member pack with
  a lyric book and access to all the resources you need once you've signed 
 up. Then each week you come\, you just need to bring some water\, a highli
 ghter\, pen or pencil\, your lyric book and don’t forget your glasses!\n\n
